A county museum improves its preservation environment

18 Jun 2018

A county museum in suburban Chicago had been storing its collections in retrofitted agricultural buildings. When the museum had the opportunity to move to a renovated office building in a nearby city, staff made the most of their chance to design a collections area that would protect the collections for generations to come, while also optimizing the space.

Spacesaver provided everything the museum needed:

Flat File Cabinets

Wide Span Shelving

Open Cabinets

Art Racks

Custom Cabinets

Full Height preservation cabinets at the end of a aisle filled with textiles and hanging garmets

Textile Racks

Spacesaver’s in-house engineering, manufacturing, and project management teams worked with the Chicago-based Spacesaver distributor to coordinate the project.
